Thanks to sourcemore.com for sending me this device to review: https://www.sourcemore.com/vaporesso-xros-3-nano-pod-kit.html

The Vaporesso Xros 3 Nano is a small square shaped device with a fine unboxing experience. When unboxing the device, the feeling is comparable to unboxing your new high end smartphone.

  • Adjustable airflow

  • Size: 69.9mm x 14mm x 51.2mm

  • Type-C 1A charging

  • 0.6-1.2ohm pod resistance

  • 2ml pod capacity

  • Price: $36.90 USD ($25.99 USD at sourcemore)

The box includes:

  • 1 XROS 3 Nano Battery

  • 1 XROS series 0.6ohm mesh pod (pre-installed)

  • 1 XROS series 0.8ohm mesh pod (in box)

  • 1 XROS Type-C USB-cable

  • 1 Lanyard

Features

The XROS 3 Nano is a pod vape with pulse mode. This should make sure the device delivers an outstanding flavor performance until the last draw. In my personal opinion, pulse mode isn’t noticeable, though I’m not quite sure if that's a bad or a good thing. Flavor does seem to be good when compared to other pod devices, so that might be the pulse mode doing its job.

The XROS 3 Nano is draw activated, that part is a huge pro to me personally. It features a square design, which feels very nice in hand. The device has adjustable airflow and a wide range of different pods to choose from.

Design

The design of the device is refreshing, going for a stylish and bold design. The device is available in 10 different colors. From lemon yellow, to rose pink to bondi blue. I think having these options is great. You can get a more concealed lowkey color, or get a very bright one, flaunting your vape.

It’s a small, portable device, easy to just slide into your pocket for on the go. The square shape makes it comfortable to hold while hitting your vape. There is no fire button, the device is autodraw only, which to me, is a huge plus, but it’s something to keep in mind if you do prefer the button. I also like the new dot at the top of the device. It gives the device an old school iPod look.

Pods

Since this year, vaporesso has widened its variety in pods for the XROS series. At this point in time there are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2ohm pods. All but the 0.7ohm pod have a capacity of 2ml. The 0.7ohm pod has a capacity of 3ml. All but 0.7ohm pods also have top fill. You just snap off the top part and fill the pods in the red rubber hole. The 0.7ohm pod has side fill.

The pods are small and convenient, which makes it easy to take multiple out and about and switch pods with different flavors throughout the day. They barely ever have leaks, which is the main reason why I personally love this pod device.

The new pods have an even better life span than the old ones. With the old pods I would get two weeks max out of the sweeter flavors, but I’ve been going over a week on a new pod and there isn’t flavor loss yet whatsoever.

Performance (battery, flavor, etc)

Performance of the device is honestly outstanding, especially seen its size and how easy it is to use. To me, it functions especially well as a MTL device, but with the airflow wide open and a 0.7 or 0.6ohm pod, this could easily be used for DTL hits as well.

The 1000mAh battery is something worth mentioning as well. It gets me through most days easily. Even when I forget to charge it at the end of the day, a quick 15 minute morning charge will get me through most of the day.

Flavor of this device is outstanding, one of the best I’ve had in pods for a long time. With that you also get a leakfree experience, which isn’t something that can be said for all pod devices.

Hitting the device feels like it's fully charged, until it’s dead, so keep an eye on battery light on the front of the device.

Comparing to the original XROS Nano

The original XROS Nano has always been one of the best (if not the best) pod devices out there. There are some differences between the original one and the 3, though. The original one is a tiny bit smaller in dimensions. The pod also sits deeper into the device. In my opinion that’s more aesthetically pleasing, but less convenient. The new way makes it easier to see if you’re getting low on juice and it sits in the device just as firmly. I do prefer the old view off the battery level with the four dots. Now it’s a bar that lights up either green (100-70%), blue (70-30%) or red (30-0%). On the old device, I did notice that with the airflow all the way open, the device would make a whistling sound. Vaporesso seems to have fixed this on the new one. Airflow overall feels a little tighter and the control button for this looks better.

Pros

  • Light weight and pocket friendly

  • Easy to use top fill system

  • Leak free pods

  • Up to 5 pod options

  • Good pod life

  • Strong securing magnets

  • 1000mAh battery

Cons

  • New way to show battery percentage

  • Pulse mode doesn’t seem to do anything

Verdict

Personally, my favorite pod device the past year has been the original XROS Nano, and this new version of the device just knocks it from first place. I still take both when out and about, but I notice I’d rather take the XROS 3 Nano out of my pocket than the original one. The original one is only there for when the battery of the XROS 3 Nano dies and this only happens if I forget to charge it the night before, cause this device gets me through a day and a half easily on a full charge.

In this day and age I’d recommend this device to any who wants to quit smoking or using disposable devices mess- and hasslefree. The good things about this device outweigh the bad by a long shot. There isn’t much bad to say about this device, especially with the new pods.

A big thanks to everyone who made it to the end of this review.
